Acne PDT (Active Acne)

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) for active acne. A salicylic acid peel first clears the pores, then ALA, a light-sensitizing solution, is applied and absorbed by oil glands and acne bacteria. A light then activates it, killing bacteria and calming overactive oil glands. You must avoid sunlight for 48 hours, and a series of treatments gives the best results.
